Due to the expertise of our coaches, we offer a number of sport specific lessons, which can be tailored to your schools requirements. We find that these are best done within PE lessons over a half term, starting off with the basics and working our way up to game play, covering everything in detail so that no stone is left unturned, allowing the children to fully understand how to put the skills learnt into game play, meaning a high level being achieved.
Due to the quality of our coaches, we can provide lessons during curriculum time that cover all aspects on the national curriculum. We can also provide lessons for all year groups, which are fun, engaging and age appropriate for all children. We also provide a full year of mapping, to make sure that everything for each year group is covered and is progressive across all age groups. This means that no stone is left unturned and the children can then leave school, going into the next phase of their life, knowing that they have had a comprehensive physical education. Due to our background within table tennis, we stand out offering something different from other companies, due to our strong expertise in this field.
Back in March 2019, our head coach Paul Johnson, had been working with a group of children at Redlands Primary School in Worksop. Having started off as complete beginners, they worked their way through the county finals, regional finals and zone finals before both the boys and girls team (made up of 4 boys and 4 girls) made it to the last 4 in the country and played the national finals. The girls team then managed to become National u11 schools team Champions with the boys finishing in 4th place in their event. An achievement that the school is very proud of, and just proves that with some hard work and dedication anything can be achieved.
In February 2020, Martha Wild a young u11 girl from one of our schools in Gainsborough, went to the county finals in Grantham, in hope that she would qualify for National finals in Wolverhampton later on in the year. Not only did she qualify but she went and won the event, in her very first ever competition. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, Martha was unable to compete at the National finals as the event was cancelled, but this was still a fantastic achievement, for someone who had only started playing table tennis in the September of that year at her after school club.
