Four Blitz Players Selected to represent Lincolnshire

Four out of a possible six, of our Improver and Performance squad players have qualified to represent Lincolnshire Table Tennis Teams in the County Championships this year. This came about after entering the Lincolnshire Team Trials event hosted at Grantham College on the 4th September.

All Blitz players who attended played very well on the day against some tough opponents. The trails were run in a competition format where everyone competed against each other to play for positions. The players that finished the highest for each age category were then chosen to go on and represent the county.

Our 4 new Lincolnshire county players are:

• Joel Smith - representing Lincolnshire under 19 second team and the Cadet team (Under 15’s).

• Teddy Heather - representing Lincolnshire under 19 second team and the Cadet team (Under 15’s).

• Micah Smith - representing Lincolnshire Cadet team (Under 15’s).

• Martha Wild - representing Lincolnshire Cadet team (Under 15’s).

We are very proud to have so many players within the Lincolnshire county team, the home county of our club and we wish all our players and the Lincolnshire teams every success in the championships this year.
